PPF - Sun Moon Duality

So busy raising funds for my painterly Kickstarter campaign that I almost plum forgot about PPF!

For todays' installment of the weekly Paint Party Friday, I wanted to share a mural I once had the chance to paint on the back of an old barn.

Did the thing in tempera paint and did not really have the chance to glaze it or anything and, sadly, it didn't survive a storm that emerged the day after I finished.

This was at least quasi intentional, since I knew the structure itself was 'temporary' at best - the whole thing, then, again, became a testament to decay.

As for Kickstarter.... am a lot closer than I was!!!!!! It expires tomorrow evening. Still need a few good people to contribute $20 to be all set. Gifts include handmade art. So am on duty today - on the phone, online, etc - trying to gather support.

If any of you blog readers ever
1) contribute to my campaign, or
2) decide to CREATE your own campaign down the line, please contact me ---- you can count on me for support - I know what a nightmare this sort of thing can be.

Wonderful mural - so sad it was destroyed so quickly.

yes but I learned my lesson ---- don't think I didn't ;) that's why I started putting epoxy on every thing I ever do with tempera (too bad you really can't do that on a barn....)

The piece is amazing!!!
I'll tweet for supporting your KS project. I wanted to put my project, too, but I'm from Italy and for now I cannot participate....

I can't KS, because I'm not an US citizen. You need a security number and such to be accepted. I don't know about partnering, though....

Congrats on reaching your goal!

That mural was beautiful, and well, sort of a Zen lesson in the impermanence of beauty, hmmm?

I loved the painting and where you painted it, on something that could use a bit of pretty. It had to dry before you could add the permanent, so sorry. Happens to all of us at times we least expect. Blessings, Janet PPF
