This is me engaging with the mortal combat of portraiture
These are some relatives, who live overseas and whom I have not seen in years. The gentleman has Parkinson's and is dying, so this is a gift for my aunt (shown in the picture).
I have never formally formalized a methodology for doing portraits that actually look like people, so I usually just stumble around, hit or miss, till I get as close as I can and then I cal it DONE. With some ppl it's super easy - this one was one of the easier ones I've done.

That is fantastic! The likenesses are great. What a sweet gift.
This is a lovely portrait and you got the likeness, what is really not easy to do.
Well, your practice has paid off because this is wonderful. Your aunt is going to appreciate it so very much. You have captured the essence of the people and they really do look real. You should be so proud of yourself. You created an excellent, lifelike portrait of two very dear family members. genie
Very well done. People are so difficult for me to draw. Your aunt will love it.
