Here is my greatest artistic triumph of the week - possibly of the year - yes, it is a shower stall! The thing is, the horrid thing had not been sparkling pretty much ever. Sure, I cleaned, but I had never gotten it to be pure white for some reason. Then I learned of a new technique to get things going, and there it is - white.
I ended up at one point watching a cool British show called How Clean is Your House where they recommended you soak rags or paper towels in bleach solution, and essentially wallpaper the shower stall. Then, to leave it there for some time, and scrub it all off. Now.... I have as stated tried & tried to scrub it off in the past, to no avail - so I was excited to find out this worked.
But since this is not a blog about cleaning, and it is a blog about art, I am sharing one of the newest pieces we have finished. Here are both sides of the piece. As can be seen, on one side is a mask, and on another people who are fighting, plus symbols.
Hoping everyone has a great weekend!

This is awesome. Love how you paint on wood. Great job.
great work, and happy you got your stuff cleaned; have a nice weekend
much love...
How fun, there are a lot of things going on. The colours and symbols are very interesting. I wish that the pictures were flipped so it would have been easier to see all the wonderful images.
Great tip about cleaning the shower. I have the same problem with my bathtub!
Thanks for sharing your creativity!
very expressive colourful piece!
Wow, your driftwood painting is fabulous Alicia. Lots of hard work there. Like you I have been fighting with a shower. I have tried for 2 weeks to get the old shower head off so I can put my new one up. Alas, it seems to be permanently affixed to the pipe. I have to be careful not to pull the pipe out of the wall while trying to use a wrench on the joint. Nothing has worked: WD-40 or vinegar soaks.
Wow Faye that sucks! What if you used oil? Someone once told me wd40 was too diluted to really do the job
Very nice artwork! I hate cleaning the shower... that plastic stuff never looks crystal clean..I just started using mr. clean and it works ok.
Lovely artwork...always loved painting on wood...this one looks fab!
