And now, for Creative Tuesdays, would like to quote from one of my fave albums of all time
"I'd like to be
under the sea
in an octopus' garden
in the shade"
(and here's an actually cute video some folks made)
a pen drawing followed with oil pastels rounded out this seascape
Good to be back blogging and sharing art with online folks. Since the end of my incredible edible painting project, have taken a breather from a lot art and blog related! But am happy to come back & share with y'all, and hope to do so here (and in the other ones) in the future.
Have to step out now, will hope to check on other creative tuesdaysers in the later on!

Oooh...this is wonderful! Love that song! haha....
we would be warm
below the storm
in our little hideaway beneath the waves.... :)
You've captured all the intriguing mysteries under the sea, too...the cave, coral and schools of fish! I love it!
Oh my goodness, when you enlarge it, there are so many little surprises and details. Love that little crab...and I feel like the fish in the middle is throwing me a kiss...look at those lips.
A darling and creative entry.
wonderful! :)
Oh, wow, Alicia--this is so wonderful! Love the intricacies of the fauna and coral and such. And oil pastel are great, aren't they? Works well here.
BTw, that project must have been utterly exhausting! I'm sure you're glad it's done.
Fun video link too. I like your art better though. TY for joining in and finding the time! :)

looks fun. I like the various sea creatures especially the sea horse.
hope you have a sweet day.
Gosh this is wonderful, there is so much to look at. I agree with Wanda the middle fish does look like he is blowing a kiss.
